Five Things that Make Me Sick of Austin

- Rednecks
- 70 days of triple-digit heat
- Allergy seasons
- Texas self-aggrandizement
[this is good] i agree with your list of the five things that make you sick of austin. i’ve felt this way for years, but i haven’t been able to do anything about it…yet. hopefully in 2010, the boyfriend and i can begin our city search and prepare to move in early 2011. let me know if you like the portland/seattle area. i love san fran, but it’s a tad too expensive.
I was sold on Seattle the moment I stepped off the plane in early September and felt 60-degree weather. Austin summers that last till November are complete bullshit. Last time I was in Portland was in 1998, but I’ve been there twice before that.I like both cities, although it seems Portland has a rougher job market overall. I have never been to the Bay Area yet, but I’ll be rectifying that soon.
