I’m writing this entry on Dec. 7 because I’ll be on a plane for most of Dec. 16. It’s an annual meme which I’ve filled out previous years. It’s a good piece of filler for a day I’ll have limited access to the Internet.<\/p>\n

    I didn’t make a New Year’s resolution for 2010, and I’m in no mood right now to make one for 2011.<\/li>\n

  3. Did anyone close to you give birth?<\/strong>\n

    No.<\/li>\n

  4. Did anyone close to you die?<\/strong>\n

    Yes. Finally.<\/li>\n

  5. What countries did you visit?<\/strong>\n

    None.<\/li>\n

  6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?<\/strong>\n

    Residence in either San Francisco or Seattle.<\/li>\n

  7. What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?<\/strong>\n

    July 12, when I started a new job, and Nov. 28, when my dad died.<\/li>\n

  8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?<\/strong>
    Starting a new job.<\/li>\n
  9. What was your biggest failure?<\/strong>
    I’m still living in Austin.<\/li>\n
  10. Did you suffer illness or injury?<\/strong>
    I was felled by two prickly-pear margaritas, which revealed a non-threatening heart condition.<\/li>\n

    A new computer.<\/li>\n

    My mother.<\/li>\n

    The American electorate.<\/li>\n

    To my home studio, The Closet<\/li>\n

    My new job and some encouraging demos I recorded with the new computer<\/li>\n
