Polaroid doesn’t suggest shaking your Polaroid pictures. To wit:
“The image, which dries behind a clear plastic window, so never actually touches the air, is best laid flat, and away from the wind, advises the Polaroid website.”
So I guess the semantically correct way of saying it say, “Shake it like you could a Polaroid picture.”
Or something like that.
SXSW has posted its showcase schedule. They didn’t listen to me.
I once saw a full-frontal pic of Nick Oliveri in Record Collector magazine. Dude has a habit of playing concerts wearing only his bass. Let’s just say his Chinese nickname would be Won-Hung Lo.
I’ve been neglectful of 日々の本 and way behind in stocking up Musicwhore.org reviews for two reasons.
First, I’ve spent at least an hour a night accompanying myself with a bunch of Shiina Ringo and UA songs. (Plus one Cocco song.) That’s the hour I would usually spend pulling entries out of my ass.
Second, is this.
Given the thematic bias to all things music in this blog, it would be logical to conclude I may have opinions on the whole Janet Jackson “wardrobe malfunction”.
Sorry.
I was hanging out at Schlotzsky’s with my fellow online journal writers who were equally ambivalent to all things Super Bowl, so I didn’t even see the game, let alone the half time show.
And even though I’ve found Janet’s fascination with sex tiresome on each of her last four albums, an exposed tit isn’t going to stop me from buying Damita Jo (in stores March 30!)
Snarking on the Grammys is a fun, easy, popular exercise, which means another blog post bemoaning who lost and who won is, well, pointless.
Instead, I’ll enumerate how many winners just happen to be in my music collection already. That’s probably a better gauge on how little the awards really affect my listening habits.
Of all the winners from the 2004 awards, the only albums I already possess are:
John Spencer may be hot for a middle age guy. And Bradley Whitford may be the Sexy.
But the guy on The West Wing who makes me cream (figuratively speaking, of course) — Joshua Malina.
He’s got the dweeb look I usually go for, but he’s also got something of a deep, sexy voice to go with it. Oh yeah — he’s my West Wing crush, aight.
On the morning after I returned from my trip to Hawai`i, I encountered a Windows 2000 error that made my computer reboot over and over and over again.
I let it reboot a few dozen times just to piece together the error message. All I managed to grab was “KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0x804EFAEG, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)”, something about ntoskrnl.sys, and something or other an error at “804EFAE6 at 804000”.
Evidently, no one else has every encountered this problem because Google returned no results for “804EFAE6“. If someone knows how I can decipher this error message, please let me know.
I reinstalled Windows 2000 — and because it overwrote the Registry, all my programs — but I never found out what was wrong in the first place.
I thought I’d take the higher ground on this criticism and not respond to it, but not only does it show up on the links page of a site that can’t get my name right, it’s reiterated on a fan forum.
To wit:

I think this criticism is very short-sighted.
