Here’s what I would be writing about if I still kept an online journal (which this site is not):

  • I have developed an addiction to gyro sandwiches.
  • I think the pinched nerve has mostly healed itself, but when I brush my pinky and ring finger on my left against a surface, I can still feel a slight numbness.
  • I’m anxious to start making music again.
  • I have also developed a fondness for hot and sour soup. When I go to a new Chinese restaurant, I will order the hot and sour soup just to see whether it’s worth going back again.
  • I went to a Chinese restaurant I’ve never been before (Din Ho) about two weeks ago. It’s been a long time since I had char siu and Peking duck.
  • I was gifted with a Waterloo Records gift certificate for accomplishing a miraculous feat at work, and I blew it all getting used CDs of albums I hadn’t yet converted from cassette and vinyl.
  • I am now officially more of a fan of Steve Reich than I am of Philip Glass.
  • I may try to hunt down some Shiina Ringo songs recorded by Tomosaka Rie. I have the MP3s, now I want the out-of-print CDs themselves.
  • I programmed a Season Pass for Veronica Mars and Brothers and Sisters on my TiVo. Still recording Grey’s Anatomy on an episode-by-episode basis. I am not about the medical dramas.
  • I want to take a trip to Maui. Also, I’m fairly sure I’ll be traveling home this year for a visit, probably before the summer. My dad’s health is becoming a cause for concern.
  • I don’t have much faith that the new next-door neighbors will be any better than the assholes I put up with for the past year.
  • The lure of buying a house is actually starting to appeal to me. Stupid asshole neighbors.
  • I may at least rent a duplex since I’m getting sick of lugging groceries up three floors and getting trapped in my apartment on the one day Austin experiences an ice storm.
