Zap2It has this ridiculous habit of putting awful photos at the top of its news stories with no captions. Cases in point:
New ‘Law & Order’ Will Offer ‘Trial by Jury’
Paired with some really bad writing, it takes some effort to get to the meat of the stories on this site.
However much Lennie is the rock of the Two-Seven, I can’t suspend my belief too much longer. He’s way past retirement age, and I would have thought the brass would have ousted him long ago.
As for the new series — I had my doubts about Crime and Punishment when it was announced, but it’s probably the best series in the Law and Order franchise. So we’ll see.
The prospect of Lennie leaving the L&O: TOS universe — note I’m not talking about Jerry Orbach, the actor, but Lennie Briscoe, the character — makes me wonder what would happen if Jack McCoy were to leave the DA’s office. An evil part of me wishes Ed Danvers (Homicide: Life on the Streets) moves up from Baltimore to take Jack’s place. Whee!
If L&O: TOS really wanted to shake things up, they’d shake up the man/woman pairings among the cops and DA’s — give McCoy a male second chair and Green (if Briscoe does leave) a female partner.
Oh the speculation!
As I recall, it’s Justice Danvers now, as he’s been appointed to the federal Bench. Doubtful that he’d take the step back to being an ADA, even the EADA.
Now I could get behind a woman partner for Green. Maybe the chick who was filling in on CI while Kathryn Erbe had her kidlet?
The Android? “L&O: TOS” already has FemmeBot, a.k.a. Law Barbie. Let’s not concentrate all the robots on one show, now.
Oh geez, I agree that Serena is the FemmeBot, but I didn’t think of, um, whatsherface as an Android, just kind of, well, uh, unmemorable.
Pssst!

Okay, you got me. Clearly my memory of the, erm, Android has faded over time.
