I’ve been neglectful of 日々の本 and way behind in stocking up Musicwhore.org reviews for two reasons.
First, I’ve spent at least an hour a night accompanying myself with a bunch of Shiina Ringo and UA songs. (Plus one Cocco song.) That’s the hour I would usually spend pulling entries out of my ass.
Second, is this.
I’m having good thoughts about Vigilante, yet I cannot contemplate implementation of same for my purposes. Convince me?
You’d only really want to use Vigilante if you’re building a dynamic site from scratch but don’t want to hassle with scripting the most basic function — reading and writing from a database.
I haven’t upgraded any of the sites which served as a basis for Vigilante to use Vigilante itself, but I am going to employ it for sites with entirely different kinds of content — Musicwhore.org, Diarist Awards, Austin Stories.
It’s geared for developers who can design their own databases and can script their own code. (I haven’t yet explored any possibilities of using it as a learning aide for future hackers*.)
