\nDidn’t speak up, didn’t say too much
\nLooked at you in such a way, you wanted to ask,
\n“Do you need help? Do you want to talk?”
\nNo, that’s all right, please don’t mind me
\nDidn’t mean to stare, please go about your business
\nSorry for the inconvenience, please don’t mind me
\nWasn’t being rude, please go about your business
\nHe was what you might have called the vigilant type
\nSaw everything, noted the details
\nLooked at things in such a way, you wanted to ask,
\n“How did you guess? How did you ever know?”
\nNo, that’s all right, please don’t mind me
\nSorry to intrude, it’s really not my business
\nDidn’t mean to speak so frankly, please don’t mind me
\nWasn’t being rude, it’s really not my business
\nAnd he’d disappear as quickly as he came
\nLeaving such a hole you wish he’d show his face
\nAgain
