Unlike the last time<\/a>, this version of shinkyoku moratorium<\/em> is more of a game plan.
\nTo be truthful, I haven’t really written any new material from scratch since last year. Yes, there are new songs on A Ghost in My Shadow<\/a><\/em>, but they were created from pre-existing material.
\nI sketched out one new song, but I haven’t put it on paper nor attempted to record it.
\nI hesitate to say I have writer’s block because the truth is, I haven’t set out to write anything new this year. I haven’t made a conscious effort to sit at the piano or with a guitar for the purpose of creating new work.<\/p>\n


\nLast year, I salvaged old songs and consciously wrote new ones to go with them. This year, nothing.
\nAnd I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
\nI still have a lot of work to do on the stuff I’ve already done, and there’s part of me that would like to start playing other people’s music.
