I’ve been writing in the first-person perspective so much, I figured I’d try something in the third-person. Ended up with an interesting story.

He was what you might have called the reticient type
Didn’t speak up, didn’t say too much
Looked at you in such a way, you wanted to ask,
“Do you need help? Do you want to talk?”
No, that’s all right, please don’t mind me
Didn’t mean to stare, please go about your business
Sorry for the inconvenience, please don’t mind me
Wasn’t being rude, please go about your business
He was what you might have called the vigilant type
Saw everything, noted the details
Looked at things in such a way, you wanted to ask,
“How did you guess? How did you ever know?”
No, that’s all right, please don’t mind me
Sorry to intrude, it’s really not my business
Didn’t mean to speak so frankly, please don’t mind me
Wasn’t being rude, it’s really not my business
And he’d disappear as quickly as he came
Leaving such a hole you wish he’d show his face
Again
He was what you might have called the logical type
Didn’t get mad, wasn’t so happy
Looked at me in such a way, I wanted to say,
“Please have a seat. Tell me what you know.”
No, that’s all right, I really must go
Sorry to intrude, please go about your business
Didn’t mean to catch your eye, I really must go
Wasn’t being rude, please go about your business
Please don’t mind me
Please excuse me
